Job Description for Warehouse Receiver:
We are in search of an adept and safety-minded Warehouse Receiver to integrate within our warehouse or logistics workforce. The suitable candidate will be accountable for maneuvering forklifts and diverse warehouse machinery to transfer, load, and unload materials with efficiency and caution.
Responsibilities for Warehouse Receiver:
- Utilize forklifts and similar machinery for the purpose of relocating materials within a storage facility
- Move and handle merchandise between trucks and other transport means
- Place products in their designated storage locations in a neat and orderly manner
- Carry out standard equipment examinations and alert authorities to any technical faults
- Ensure that the shipment is securely restrained and meets safety requirements
- Ensure accurate tracking of goods in storage and transit
- Aid with assorted warehouse duties, including but not limited to picking and packing items
- Observe and follow all safety rules and company procedures
Requirements for Warehouse Receiver:
- Preference is given to candidates with a high school diploma or its comparable alternative
- Hold a forklift certification that is up-to-date and have practical skills in operating sit-down, stand-up, or reach forklifts
- Possessing excellent physical health and having the capacity to lift objects up to 50 pounds in weight
- Essential numerical operations and inventory expertise
- Rigorous attention to specifics and a strong emphasis on ensuring safety
- Competence in both solo endeavors and team-based initiatives
- Ability to be available for shifts that may include weekends and evenings if necessary
Work Environment for Warehouse Receiver:
Typically located in warehouses, manufacturing plants, distribution centers, or outdoor loading docks, forklift operators are often exposed to fluctuating temperatures and extended periods of standing or utilizing machinery.
