The goal of Groups Recover Together is to support those with addiction problems obtain lasting recovery with a three-pronged approach – medication, weekly group therapy, and care navigation. These core modalities are indispensable in achieving full recovery, and we are committed to providing excellent clinical care and team-based support to foster a sober life.

Those who have a love for group therapy will find the role of a Counselor to be the perfect match. At Groups, we are dedicated to changing industry standards by ensuring that Counselors are not overburdened. As a Counselor, you will have a unique opportunity to have a significant impact on members' lives. You will play a critical role in a cross-functional team that includes prescribers, care navigators, peer recovery coaches, and office managers. Our holistic clinical model prioritizes counseling, medication, and community involvement as fundamental to long-term recovery. This role comes with several critical responsibilities, including but not limited to:
- Collaborate with the treatment team and develop comprehensive knowledge on addiction and recovery, leading decision-making processes regarding the member's therapy sessions with the guidance of our clinical specialists.
- Efficiently allocate your workload to cater to the clinical demands of the region while enhancing your expertise, and maintaining an efficient and organized workflow in the office.
- Use our structured curriculum to direct two to three therapy sessions per day, totalling 10-12 sessions per week, which aid individuals in their recovery and enhance their social connections within the group.
- Take note of the development of team members by means of performance indicators (Core Milestones) and customer feedback (NPS scores).
- Actively participate in building relationships with local organizations and groups to foster a stronger sense of community support
- Help build awareness for Groups within the community by distributing customized written materials that highlight the organization's mission and tell its story
- Play a proactive role by attending meetings that advocate for substance abuse services and resources in your community
- Raise awareness of the Groups' goals by circulating brochures and other promotional paraphernalia in the local community
- Participate in community dialogue forums that focus on discussing the issues related to drug and alcohol abuse

Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree.
- If you are being supervised for credentials such as MFT, LMFT, LPC, LPC-MHSP, LMSW, LCSW, LADAC level 1 & 2, LSPE, Licensed Psychologist/Psy.D. RN & LPN and have experience leading therapeutic groups, we encourage you to submit your application along with supporting documentation.
- Conducting Group Therapy sessions involves a level of vulnerability and compassion that can only be achieved by establishing trust, empathy, and respect for others.
- Technology has no barrier for me as I am more than comfortable handling EMR, Telehealth software, Gmail, Google Docs/Sheets/Drive, mobile apps, and other relevant technology, making me a proficient and valuable asset.
- When it comes to providing effective and compassionate care, collaboration among all members of a healthcare team is crucial.
- Candidates should be able to work a maximum of 3 evenings per week, including the potential for shifts ending at 9pm.
- The position calls for professionals with a background in mental health, social work, substance abuse therapy, counseling, human services, social services, or medication-assisted treatment (MAT) knowledge and experience.
