The primary function of the registered CT technologist at Raleigh Radiology is to provide CT studies and radiography to outpatients. The technologist is responsible for the coordination of patient care. He/She follows established protocols, policies, procedures, and specific instructions. The technologist is registered in the following modalities: CT, Radiography. Rotation through all modalities for which the technologist is trained and registered is required.

Qualifications:
EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, CERTIFICATION, LICENSURE
A. Education: Graduate from an accredited school of Radiologic Technology with additional documented training in CT.B. Experience: Previous experience in a busy office or hospital is preferred.
Certification:
1. CPR is required or must be obtained within the first 6-months of employment. Continuous certification in CPR is required.
2. Successful completion of registry for Radiologic Technologists with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists must be achieved within 12-months of employment. RT-R (ARRT)
3. Successful completion of registry in CT with ARRT must be achieved within 12-months of employment. RT-R(C)(ARRT) or commencement of training in CT.
D. Licensure: None
DESIRED SKILLS: Basic patient care skills, including first-aid and CPR. Excellent technical skills in CT and diagnostic radiographs are required. Ability to work independently, make sound decisions based on patient condition, and ability to follow directions. Flexibility, dependability, and professionalism required.
