Job Description for Inventory Forklift Technician:
We are in need of an experienced and safety-oriented Inventory Forklift Technician to join our warehouse or logistics division. The suitable candidate will be tasked with the operation of forklifts and other warehouse equipment for the efficient and secure movement of materials.
Responsibilities for Inventory Forklift Technician:
- Operate forklifts and similar industrial vehicles to transfer materials within the warehouse or storage area
- Transfer products onto and off of trucks and various types of vehicles
- Skillfully stack and organize items to ensure they are stored in the correct locations
- Complete routine equipment checks and disclose any mechanical problems detected
- Confirm that the shipment is firmly held in place and follows safety standards
- Keep detailed records of stock levels and deliveries
- Support with general warehouse activities, like selecting and preparing orders when needed
- Comply with safety regulations and adhere to company protocols
Requirements for Inventory Forklift Technician:
- The ideal qualification is a high school diploma or a similar substitute
- Certified to operate forklifts and skilled in driving sit-down, stand-up, or reach forklifts
- Being in peak physical condition and able to hoist objects up to 50 pounds in weight
- Primary numerical abilities and inventory control skills
- Careful examination of specifics and a deep-rooted concern for safety precautions
- Proficiency in both individual assignments and group collaborations
- Arrival to work at different times, such as nights and weekends when the situation calls for it
Work Environment for Inventory Forklift Technician:
In warehouses, manufacturing plants, distribution centers, or outdoor loading areas, forklift operators are generally employed. They may be required to work in changing temperatures and spend long periods standing or operating machinery.
