Certified Nurse Practitioner (APRN)

Overview

Groups Recover Together is actively searching for Advanced Practice Nurses (NP/APRN) to serve as 1099 Providers at their various locations:

No matter where you go in Kentucky, from Ashland to Winchester, you'll find unique communities with rich histories and welcoming residents

A payment of $100 is offered for every hour of work.

Minimum 5 hours weekly based on availability (M-F; evenings included).

At Groups, we provide our members with a proven approach to treating opiate use disorder called Medication-Assisted Treatment (MAT). This model combines medication and therapy and is recognized as the gold standard by ASAM and SAMHSA.

Responsibilities

Nurse Practitioners/ Advance Practice Nurses (1099): An Essential Component of the Healthcare Team:

• Assist in conducting intakes. Providers see patients after they have already undergone an extensive evaluation by the counselor.
• Monitor patients' clinical progress at regular group counseling sessions. Groups are run by specialized counseling staff; providers participate by answering questions and managing patients’ medication dosing.
• Authorize patients' prescriptions during monthly visits with patient panels.
• Complete all notes and reporting in Groups EMR system within required timeline (providers receive full orientation/ training on Clinical Protocols before eligible to begin work with Groups)

Adopting stringent protocols as our guide, we have implemented a clinical system that relies on technology and a team-based approach to manage patients and comply with regulations, leaving physicians free to focus exclusively on providing medical care.

Qualifications

A set of obligations exist for those seeking to work as a Nurse Practitioner/ Advance Practice Nurse (1099):

• Active, Unencumbered State License (NP/APRN) in Kentucky.
• Active, Individual DEA with address listed in Kentucky.
• DEAX designation as formerly required to prescribe Buprenorphine or proof of 8hrs of qualified training as assigned by SAMHSA will be required (experience prescribing in the MAT/SUD space preferred; in-direct/relative experience considered).
• Proof of Active Board Certification (NP/ APRN; any specialty)
• Ability to work in-office at one of our Kentucky locations at least 5hrs per week.
