Addiction Recovery Specialist

Responsibilities:

Counselors are the backbone of our organization at Groups Recover Together. If you have a passion for group therapy, this role is perfect for you. As a Counselor, your main responsibility will be leading group therapy sessions. We differentiate ourselves by promoting teamwork and collaboration among our staff, challenging industry norms. You'll play a crucial role in a multidisciplinary care team alongside prescribers, care navigators, peer recovery coaches, and office managers, delivering holistic care. Key responsibilities include:

• As the head of the treatment team and the resident authority on addiction and recovery, you will coordinate treatment decisions for the members.
• Maintain a schedule and caseload that advances your clinical skill set while meeting the needs of the office and the community.
• Work together with other members of the team regarding the clinical service model.
• Use our provided curriculum to lead two to three* one-hour group therapy sessions that strengthen recovery skills and promote community.
• Document members’ progress, using outcome measures (Core Milestones) and client feedback (NPS scores).
• Proactively engage in community relations activities
• Deliver pamphlets and other materials endorsing the Groups and its objectives to local stakeholders.
• Attend and take part in community gatherings about addiction and substance abuse.

Qualifications:

To be considered for this role, candidates should meet the following qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree.
• Active behavioral health licensure in Kentucky or willingness to obtain licensure reciprocity in other states.
• Minimum of two years of experience leading group therapy in a substance use disorder setting.
• Proficiency with technology, including electronic medical records and telehealth software.
• Demonstrated traits of compassion, collaboration, commitment to quality care, and dedication to member success.
• Availability to work 2-3 evenings per week, up to 9 pm as needed.
• Preferred backgrounds include experience in mental health, social work, substance use disorder treatment, therapy, human services, or medication-assisted treatment.
