Picker and Packer Operator

Job Description for Picker and Packer Operator:

We are looking for a qualified and safety-conscious Picker and Packer Operator to become a part of our warehouse or logistics team. The successful candidate will be responsible for operating forklifts and additional warehouse equipment to load, unload, and transport materials efficiently and securely.

Responsibilities for Picker and Packer Operator:

• Handle forklifts and other industrial equipment to facilitate the transportation of materials in the warehouse or storage yard
• Load and discharge shipments onto and off trucks and related vehicles
• Methodically arrange products in their designated storage locations for efficient organization
• Monitor equipment regularly and report issues with the mechanics
• Ascertain that the cargo is securely fastened and complies with safety criteria
• Uphold precise documentation of inventory and shipments
• Offer assistance with miscellaneous warehouse duties, which could include tasks like selecting and packaging products
• Follow all safety standards and protocols established by the company

Requirements for Picker and Packer Operator:

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• Valid forklift certification and experience operating sit-down, stand-up, or reach forklifts
• Good physical condition and ability to lift up to 50 lbs
• Basic math and inventory skills
• Strong attention to detail and safety awareness
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Willingness to work flexible shifts, including nights and weekends if required
